Jaffa

Meet Jaffa, "my" cat. He is so adorable!! He sounds like "maaaow!" I have not seen Jaffa in quite a while, but Joel has, so we know he is safe and well. This photo is of me and Jaffa, solving a problem. You can see Jaffa is pondering.

Do you know the historical and cultural significance of his name? He is a uniquely Scottish cat! "Jaffa" comes from the root term "Jaffa Cakes". Jaffa Cakes are a sweet here, that are chocolate covered with orange filling. Jaffa's chocolate covering is metaphorical, but he sure is orange!
